The Historic Murat Bridge
/ By Josh
With legends of gold hidden inside, the Historic Murat Bridge is an 800-year-old bridge built across the Murat River as it winds its way through the Muş plain.
Turkey’s Far East is a magnificent blend of diverse cultures, histories, and landscapes, where massive lakes, lush hills, sun-baked plains, and soaring mountains backdrop the ruins of some of humanities oldest civilizations. From the ruins of the Greeks and the Romans to the lesser known Urartu and Commagene, this region boasts some of the most interesting ancient ruins in all of Turkey. With Künefe in Hatay, Çiğ Köfte in Şanlıurfa, and Baklava in Gaziantep, the East is home to many of Turkey’s greatest dishes.
