The Ancient City of Blaundus
/ By Josh
The scant remains of a city built on the Ulubey Canyon by Alexander the Great as he conquered his way through Asia Minor beginning the Hellenistic Period.
A province of Western Turkey straddling the Aegean coastal region and the Central Anatolian plain region, Uşak is a quiet province dominated by farming and light industry. Despite the fact that the area has played a part in some of the great stories of history, there is little left here to attract visitors. Ancient sites are sparse and almost entirely destroyed, leaving little of interest for anyone but the most dedicated history and archaeology lover.
